James 4:8
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners,
and
purify your hearts, you double-minded.
CR
This verse is saying that the way the Lord sanctifies and cleanses us is
through His Word. The Word of God is the water that cleanses.
Jesus spoke of the Word cleansing us in John 15:2-3 John 15:2.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may
receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Psalm 145:18
Yahweh is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.
Hebrews 10:22
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts
sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 7:25
Consequently, God is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God
through Jesus, since Jesus always lives to make intercession for them.
Psalm 91:1-16
1 Whoever lives under the shelter of Elyon
will remain in the shadow of Shadday.
2 I will say to Yahweh,
“You are my refuge and my fortress, my Elohim in whom I trust.”
3 He is the one who will rescue you from hunters’ traps
and from deadly plagues.
4 He will cover you with His protection,
and under His garment you will find refuge.
His truth is your shield and armor.
5 You do not need to fear
terrors of the night,
arrows that fly during the day,,,,
John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus
Christ whom You have sent.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is breathed out by God
and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness

John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship
Him.

Psalm 27:4
One thing have I asked of Yahweh, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in
the house of Yahweh all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of Yahweh and to inquire in His temple. Note
Hebrews 10:19
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the
blood of Jesus
This is what gives us boldness to enter into the very holy of holies—the
place where God dwells
(1 Samuel 4:4, 2 Samuel 6:2, and 1 Chronicles 13:6). The veil has been torn in
two (Matthew 27:51
and Mark 15:38), and all obstacles have been removed from our approach.
Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.
Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the
blood of Christ.
Isaiah 55:6
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;
Therefore, people sought after the Lord in the temple or tabernacle [Psalm
27:5]), where He placed His name and said His ear would be open to their prayers
(2 Chronicles 7:15-16).
The way we as New Testament believers should interpret this verse is to desire
to dwell in God’s presence and have intimacy with the Lord.
The Lord is always in us.
He never leaves nor forsakes us (Hebrews 13:5), but we leave Him.
We should desire to always be in fellowship with the Lord.
