1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.


1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as the Father is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

According to 1 John 1:5, God is light. So, walking in the light is walking in God.

Titus 3:5
He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,


2 Corinthians 7:1
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

Since Jesus took care of worldly desires, any desire since then has to be from the pit of hell which we should defiantly submit to God for help James 4:7

Ephesians 5:26
That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word

The Lord sanctifies and cleanses us is through His Word. The Word of God is the water that cleanses. Jesus spoke of the Word cleansing us in John 15:2-3 John 15:2.


Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things [God's promises] will be added to you.


2 Timothy 2:21
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy,

This verse is saying that the way the Lord sanctifies and cleanses us is through His Word. The Word of God is the water that cleanses. Jesus spoke of the Word cleansing us in John 15:2-3
